Some call it Modern Warfare2 and some just simply call it Call of Duty 6. While I'm not one for war games, I'd have to say this one is pretty cool. I never played any of the other ones. Watching someone play, doesn't make it look too interesting, but when I decided to play, I was hooked. Even though it's a cool game, not many people know that there's a comic book called Modern Warfare 2: Ghost, based on one of the Call of Duty characters.

Call of Duty 6 takes place five years after Call of Duty 5. The game play is divided between the multinational counter-terrorist group, Task Force 141, trying to eliminate Vladimir Makarov and US Army Ranger, defending against the Russian invasion of the US. This game gets a 9/10 from Twisted Angle Reviews. Will there be anymore? We'll have to wait and see =)

Game Play:
*Campaign - the player assumes the role of various characters during the single-player campaign while changing perspectives throughout the story
*Cooperative - Independent missions take place in a variety of locations from the campaign mode, but are not related to the story of the campaign itself.
*Multiplayer - Allows you to play online. Game modes include: Free-For-All, Search & Destroy, Demolition, Domination, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag. You can also play multiplayer offline via splitscreen or LAN. Offline mode still retains the experience and rewards found online, but the rewards are separate from those earned while playing online.

Game Features:
-Epic single-player campaign picks up immediately following the thrilling events from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
-The definitive multiplayer experience returns, with a host of new perks and enhancements.
-New cooperative SpecOps mode, the perfect combination of Modern Warfare's single-player intensity and the addictive replayability of its multiplayer.

DJ Hero

Where do I begin with this? I was dissappointed. The commercials made it look fun and interesting, but it's really not what it's cracked up to be. First, you have to go through this long tuturial. I don't mind it, but it would have been nice to have a option of doing it or not doing it. The music is okay, a lot of it I had never heard of before. The first 30 minutes of playing, it was fun. Then it got boring. It started repeating songs even though there are tons of songs it. I ended up putting mine on eBay. I give it a 5/10. Below are screen shots and a description of the game.

DJ HERO™ Overview from djhero.com

The makers of Guitar Hero introduce an entirely fresh and innovative way to experience music. In my opinion, I believe they tried harder. I liked the first one, but they left some things out of it. I think they stuck closer to the book with New Moon. However, I think they could have had a better actor for Bella. The Bella (Kristen Stewart) they have looks like she's in constant pain. Her expression doesn't change at all. However, it was a good movie and every Twilight fan should go see it.

"After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella's blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington for Bella and Edward's sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black. Danger in different forms awaits." (Taken from IMDb)

If you like the book, go see the movie. If you liked the movie, read the book. For you non-Twilight fans, the next movie is Eclipse and it continues on the journey of Edward and Bella. What happens between them? What happens between the Wolfs and Vampires? Well, you'll have to wait for the movie to find out. If you saw the movie and/or read the book, be sure to leave comments.

5/5

Goozex

Don't take your unwanted games to GameStop! I found this awesome site called Goozex. I've had around 3 or 4 trades on there already and currently have 10 games up for trade. Each game you trade is worth a certain amount of points. When someone requests that game, you get the points to use for another game. You have to have 1 token for each game you want. They give you the 1st token free. Each token is $1. So it's like paying $1 for a game instead of $20 or $50. Sign up and start trading!!! I love this site :) Also, they're going to start trading DVD and Blue-Ray! :D
Sign up here!

5/5

The Midnight Meat Train

The Midnight Meat Train is about Leon Kaufman, a photographer, that tracks down and photographs a subway serial killer. He is encouraged to explore the sinister side of humanity by a prominent art gallery proprietor who is set to display his upcoming debut. Instead, he goes against the wishes of his girlfriend and begins stalking a notorious serial killer. The serial killer's sadistic murder spree has been making headlines all across the country. As Leon's fascination with the killer gradually grows into obsession, his descent into the killer's putrid world of murder begins to corrupt his soul while simultaneously dragging his concerned girlfriend down a perverse path of darkness. The clues put him on the trail of an international conspiracy involving the Catholic Church.

Run Time: 140 minutes
Rating: PG-13
MPAA Reasons: for sequences of violence, disturbing images and thematic material

Starring Cast
Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon
Ayelet Zuer as Vittoria Vetra
Ewan McGregor as Camerlengo,Camerlengo Carlo Ventresca
Stellan Skarsgard as Commander Richter
Pierfrancesco Favino as Inspector Olivetti

4.5/5

Watchmen: The Movie

Watchmen is based on the 1986-1987 comic book limited series Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. This movie was absolutely amazing. I fell in love with it. It's run time is 163 minutes. A lot of people complained about it being so long. Complained that it was confusing. I didn't think it was confusing at all, but after all, I did pay attention to what was going on. I heard the directors cut DVD is even longer. I personally would have liked to see the un-shorted version of it. The Watchmen DVD is defiantly on my list to get. There's only 67 days until the DVD is released (July 21, 2009).

"The movie is set in an alternate universe circa in 1985. The film's world is a highly unstable one where a nuclear war is imminent between America and Russia. Superheroes have long been made to hang up their tights thanks to the government-sponsored Keene Act, but that all changes with the death of The Comedian, a robust ex-hero commando whose mysterious free fall out a window perks the interest of one of the country's last remaining vigilantes, Rorschach. His investigation leads him to caution many of his other former costumed colleagues, including Dr. Manhattan, Night Owl, Ozymandias, Sally Jupiter, and her daughter, The Silk Spectre. Heralded for bringing the world of superheroes into the literary world, Watchmen gave the super-powered mythos a real-life grounding that had been missing in mainstream comics to that point. The film adaptation had languished in one form of development hell or another for years after the book's release, with various directors on and off the project, including Terry Gilliam, David Hayter, and Darren Aronofsky, as well as Paul Greengrass, whose eventual dismissal stemmed from budget conflicts with the studio."

Rating: R
MPAA Reasons: for strong graphic violence, sexuality, nudity and language

Featured Cast
Malin Akerman as Laurie Jupiter/Silk Spectre II
Billy Crudup as Dr. Manhattan/Jon Osterman
Matthew Goode as Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias
Carla Gugino as Sally Jupiter/Silk Spectre
Jackie Earle Haley as Rorshach

5/5

Oceanside Photography

Oceanside Photography is based in Conway, SC and is a GREAT photography service. They did my bridal shots, engagement photos, and my wedding photos. They are not even that expensive. I got all of my photos on a CD within a few days of the event. Fast service is what I love about them. For 3-4 hours, engagement photos and wedding photos, it was only $1000. The bridal shots were FREE! $1000 seems like a lot, but looking back at the photos, it was well worth it. If you live in South Carolina (Horry County), I recommend you use them for any photo service you need. I have included some of the photos they took.

10/10

Guitar Hero Metallica: PS3

If you are a Metallica fan or just a Guitar Hero fan, you will love this version. To me, the Metallica songs are a lot more challenging than the regular songs on Guitar Hero 3 and World Tour. I like a challenge and that's exactly what this game gives. The characters even look like the members from Metallica. This game still allows you to play as a band just like in World Tour. But unlike World Tour, this version introduces the double foot petal (a second foot petal). Not only are the songs challenging, but now the drummer has a challenge! It also has over 20 guest acts as well. I recommend this game to all Guitar Hero players.

Features:
Play with 4 locally or battle other bands online
Create your own rocker
Full music studio and GHTunes
Play the Death Magnetic downloadable content as Metallica themselves
Gain deep access into Metallica through Metallifact provided from the band
Look through different videos and screenshots from backstage and onstage in the game

Tracks by Metallica:

All Nightmare Long

Battery

Creeping Death

Disposable Heros

Dyer's Eve

Enter Sandman

Fade To Black

Fight Fire With Fire

For Whom The Bell Tolls

Frantic

Fuel

Hit The Lights

King Nothing

Master of Puppets

Mercyful Fate

No Leaf Clover

Nothing Else Matters

One

Orion

Sad But True

Seek and Destroy

The Memory Remains

The Shortest Straw

The Thing That Should Not Be

The Unforgiven

Welcome Home (Sanitarium)

Wherever I May Roam

Whiplash

<div style="font-weight: bold; I finally got to see it the other night. I was disappointed. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It wasn't BAD, but it wasn't great either. It's hard to come by very good movies now a days. For those of you that have not watched it yet, it is a comedy about a bachelor that goes to his brother's wedding. While there,he is visited by the ghosts of his past girlfriends.

"Celebrity photographer Connor Mead loves freedom, fun and women... in that order. A committed bachelor who thinks nothing of breaking up with multiple women on a conference call, Connor's mockery of romance proves a real buzz-kill for his kid brother, Paul, and a houseful of well wishers on the eve of Paul's wedding. Just when it looks like Connor may single-handedly ruin the wedding, he is visited by the ghosts of his former jilted girlfriends, who take him on a revealing and hilarious odyssey through his failed relationships--past, present and future. I got it from a girl that lives in Europe. The only problem is that it's in Dutch and not English. If you do not know Dutch, I wouldn't recommend this version. I've been trying to figure it out and even had to use http://freetranslation.com for some parts of it. If I knew Dutch, it might be a little easier. You are supposed to be able to upload your photo and use it as part of your character in the game. I can't get past the uploading part. Besides that, you can transform anyone you have a photo of into a Sim to use in game. It uses your photos and allows you to make modifications while creating the Sim. It seems like a pretty interesting game.

"Sims 2: Face Factory 2" Features:

    * Use your own photos of yourself or others to create Sims.
* Edit the Sim's face to your specifications
* No knowledge of 3D required
Below you will find some screenshots of the game.

7.5

Emjoi Sin Dolor

Over the weekend, I purchased a hair removal product called The Emjoi Sin Dolor. I wasn't as pleased with it as I thought I would be. Before I explain why, I would first like to explain to you what the Emjoi Sin Dolor actually is. It is a removal system that removes hair from the root for up to 6 weeks. It has 21 tweezers the pull the hair out. It claims to be "painless". There is nothing painless about it. According to the Emjoi website, this is how they describe The Sin Dolor:
* Painlessly removes hair from the root
* 21 extra gentle tweezers remove hair quickly and effectively
* Enjoy smooth skin for up to 6 weeks
* Hair regrowth is less noticeable
* Soft touch grip fits comfortably in your hand and allows for maximum control
* Gentle enough to remove individual hair on the upper lip and chin
* Great for removing hair on the legs, bikini line and underarms
* Adjustable dual speed
* Cordless and rechargeable - you can use it with or without the cord
* Compact and perfect for travel
Now here is how I describe it:
* <strike>Painlessly removes hair from the root</strike> It is not painless at all
* 21 extra gentle tweezers remove hair quickly and effectively
* Enjoy smooth skin for up to 6 weeks
* Hair regrowth is less noticeable
* Soft touch grip fits comfortably in your hand and allows for maximum control
* <strike>Great for removing hair on the legs, bikini line and underarms</strike> I have tried all those places and I do NOT recommend using it on the underarms or bikini line. That is VERY unpleasant
* Adjustable dual speed
* Cordless and rechargeable - you can use it with or without the cord
* Compact and perfect for travel
So all in all, The Emjoi Sin Dolor isn't all it's cracked up to be. I'd only recommend using it on the legs, unless you enjoy pain. If you're still interested in buying one, they are around $24 at Wal-Mart.

6/10

Guitar Hero On Tour Decades: Nintendo DS

I recently purchased a Nintendo DS. I was looking at games and noticed they had Guitar Hero for the Nintendo DS. I already have Guitar Hero 3 and Guitar Hero World Tour for the Playstation 3 and figured why not get this one for the Nintendo DS. At least see how Nintendo's version compares to Sony's version. To my surprise, the Nintendo DS version is very much like the Playstation 3 version. The only thing different is on the Playstation 3, you have a guitar to play with. For the Nintendo DS, it comes with an attachment (the red/green/blue/yellow buttons) and the pin to strum the guitar with is shaped like a guitar pick. I was actually pleased with this game. Like the other Guitar Heroes, this one still lets you pick the character you want to play with. There's at least 8 different characters to choose from. There's lots of awesome songs on it from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and today. Some of the songs are "Dirty Little Secret" by The All-American Rejects, "The Take Over, The Breaks Over" by Fall Out Boy, "The Pretender" by Foo Fighters, "Buddy Holly" by Weezer, "One Way Or Another" by Blondie, and "Sweet Home Alabama (Live)" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. If you enjoy the Playstation 3 version, I encourage you to purchase the Nintendo DS version as well. Happy rockin'!

10/10

Carnival Games: Wii

I give this game a 4 out of 10. I thought this was going to be an okay game. I played with a few people and it was alright. I wanted to play alone, so I changed it to one player. I started out with having 75 tickets. I played a few games and got 100 tickets. I wanted to go to the next part, so I bought a ticket for it from the Prize Area for 100 tokens. I got to the next part and could not play ANY of the games because I did not have any tokens. I have no coins and I can not play any of the games with no coins :-( . They should have a area where you can get tokens for when things like that happen. Not where you can get coins at anytime, just when you have zero tokens. Or they should have some games that do not cost anything and that you can play to get more tokens. I do not really like the game now.

Rock Band I: Wii

I give this game a 10 out of 10. It is a awesome game and I am sure that Rock Band 2 will be just as good if not better. One thing I like is, on the play station 3 and xbox 360, there are five songs that you can download. On the Wii version, the songs are already on the game which means you do not have to download ANYTHING! I think they should have made it the real game like on the play station 3 and xbox 360. You can not play online with others on Rock Band Wii. When playing on Easy, all songs are pretty easy except for "Dead on Arrival" by Fall Out Boy. That song, to me, is always hard on any level. I also like the fact that it has Track Packs so you are not stuck with the 63 songs that came on the actual game. Overall, it is a good game. I would recommend it to anyone that likes playing Guitar Hero. I am looking forward to Rock Band Two.

Twilight: The Movie

I will start the review off with the famous Twilight movie. Twilight was schedule for release December 21, 2008 but instead, came out a month early. For those of you that have no idea what Twilight is about, here is a summary of the movie (not the book). "Bella Swan has always been a little bit different. Never one to run with the crowd, Bella never cared about fitting in with the trendy, plastic girls at her Phoenix, Arizona high school. When her mother remarried and Bella chooses to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she didn't expect much of anything to change. But things do change when she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen. For Edward is nothing like any boy she's ever met. He's nothing like anyone she's ever met, period. He's intelligent and witty, and he seems to see straight into her soul. In no time at all, they are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance - unorthodox because Edward really isn't like the other boys. He can run faster than a mountain lion. He can stop a moving car with his bare hands. Oh, and he hasn't aged since 1918. Like all vampires, he's immortal. That's right - vampire. But he doesn't have fangs - that's just in the movies. And he doesn't drink human blood, though Edward and his family are unique among vampires in that lifestyle choice. To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for - a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. Somehow or other, they will have to manage their unmanageable love. But when unexpected visitors come to town and realize that there is a human among them Edward must fight to save Bella? A modern, visual, and visceral Romeo and Juliet story of the ultimate forbidden love affair - between vampire and mortal" (taken from IMDB). For me, I thought it was pretty good. It was ALMOST like the book. A few things were left out, which I didn't like. I won't say what it was, but to me it was a important part of the book and it should have been in the movie. I will say this, if you like the book, go see the movie. If you liked the movie, read the book. The movie could use some work, but it was still good. I just hope the next one will be better. For you none Twilight fans, the next movie is New Moon and it continues on the journey of Edward and Belle. What happens between them? Well, you'll have to wait for the movie to find out or stay tuned to see if I make a entry on another Twilight book. :) If you saw the movie and/or read the book, be sure to leave comments here.

41/2 stars

First

Well, I have decided to make this blog for reviews.
